We have two companion female Bouvier puppies available and one show potential male, that I am hoping to find him (Norman) a home where he will be left intact. Once he is two, I will have him health tested and when he passes, I will put him in my breeding program.

2024 Planned Litters
This summer is insane, due to my long wait list I bred three ladies, hoping that at least two would take. Well, as my luck would have it, all three breedings took. As such, we have lots of beautiful bouv puppies running around. That’s the great news, now with this news comes the bad. We will be selling our acreage and downsizing to a much smaller lot and building a smaller house in Windermere. As such, I will be taking at least a year off from breeding, but more likely two years as building a new home typically, takes longer than one wants! Plus, we will need a break from all the hustle and bustle.
At this point, we still have three puppies available so if the timing works and you are interested in adopting a Breugel Bouvier puppy? Please complete my puppy questionnaire.

Mr. Jules aka My Precious Pumpkin
DOB: December 23rd, 2016 – Aug 18th, 2022
Mr Jules was my latest Dutch import. He was out of Nicolas Black Mystic Legend and Zilva-Thesan off Soeranda’s Home. Jules was a one in a million Bouvier. He had that sweet disposition and bouvier intelligence that I love. Show him how to do something once and he was trained. What a gentle soul. He loved everyone he met and everyone that met him wanted to take him home.
Unfortunately due to the CKC Bouvier des Flandres Standard, Jules never saw a show ring. Why you ask? The standard calls for a docked tail and Jules came with his tail intact and here in BC, I am unable to dock it. I strongly agree in NO cropping and docking. And, I look forward to the day when it is banned across Canada and the USA.
My precious Mr. Jules lost his very very short battle with cancer on Aug 18th. He died on the operating table. I want to thank Dr. Brandon Chan of BC Animal Hospital for trying to save him for me. We both new it was a long shot but we were both hoping for a miracle. Unfortunately, he left us in his sleep and I will be forever grateful for the short time I had with such a wonderful Bouvier.

CAN CH Angelbrin Lola at Breugels – RIP
Miss Lola aka Loony Toon
DOB: Nov 27th, 2010 – June 15th 2021
Lola was my pick female from Angelbrin’s Echo x Gus litter of 2010. Lola is a bit of a momma’s girl, following me everywhere. When she was not my entourage, she loved to romp about and bounce as only Bouviers’ can when she sees her food dish coming or if you ask her if she wants to go for a D R I V E! Thank you to Shaunna Bernardin for showing Lola to her Canadian Championship for me. Lola took 9 Best of Breeds while on the road with Shaunna. Glad to have her home.
Miss Lola lived in Calgary with her wonderful mom Gillian.
Lola’s Pedigree RetiredBreugel’s Juno Beach
Miss Juno aka Little Lady
DOB: November 11, 2017
Miss Juno was my pick female from Bella’s x Jag’s litter of 2017. She has the sweetest disposition ever. She loves to rear straight up in the air whenever you ask her if she wants to go outside or when she sees her food dish. She so reminds me of her grandpa Blaze. This little lady had her first and last litter on Sept 30th, 2020. Unfortunately, she had to have an emergency c-section and spay. She is now retired and back with her adopted family. Thank you to Bernice and Derrick for being such wonderful fosters.
Miss Juno is an exemplary example of what a Bouvier should be. Unfortunately she will not be shown due to the fact that the CKC breed standard specifies a docked tail. it is illegal here in BC to crop and dock. Such a shame she will not earn a conformation title.

Miss Versace aka Sace
RIP: August 28th, 2007 – March 2nd, 2020
Versace died at home on March 2nd, 2020 just a few months shy of her 13th birthday. Even though Sace only had one litter of 9 puppies, she produced three champions and her great grand kids continue producing puppies with that sweet beautiful temperament.
Versace lived on Vancouver Island with her owner’s Ida and Bob where her day job was looking after all the chickens. Versace was pick female from Gus X Tawny litter of 2007. Sace had a beautiful litter of nine puppies on July 7th, 2010, Marcus, Tori and Nikita, three of the pups went to show homes and are Canadian Champions. Markus won the 2012 Alberta Bouvier Specialty, Tori took Best of Opposite and Best of Winners at the same show. Nikita was the first one to get her championship and was already retired from the show ring before Marcus and Tori ventured out into the show ring. Thank you Bob and Ida for loving your Sace.

RIP: May 18th, 2006 – February 2nd, 2020
Miss Lexie Lou died on Sunday February 2, 2020 just 4 months shy of her 14th birthday. Lexus made some beautiful puppies and her grand kids and great grand kids will continue producing puppies with that sweet, smart, loyal temperament.
Lexus was imported from the Vanenblikhoeve kennel in the Netherlands when she was just 10 weeks old. She finished her championship in four shows, taking Best Puppy in Group three days in a row and a Group 4. Lexus is by far the smartest dog I’ve ever had the pleasure to own. I am positive she considers all her options before making a decision. Lexi in her retirement lived with her adopted family Janice & Mike and their other Breugel Bouvier Ruby out in Maple Ridge. Thank you for loving her.

Izzy’s Pedigree Females, Ladies, NewsNo More Dog Shows for My Dogs
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that my dogs will no longer be shown in CKC Conformation Shows until such time that the national Bouvier des Flandres Club of Canada changes the standard to allow for dogs with natural tails.
Cosmetic surgery has been banned in some European Countries as early as Jan, 1988. We are talking over two decades of scientific evidence proving that it is unecessary, inhumane and cruel.
I have been on the “Au Natural” ban wagon since 2005. Going against my own convictions and docking tails until it was banned in BC in Oct, 2015.
No more! I am finally taking a stand. And I ask you to do the same. Say No to adopting a puppy from a Bouvier breeder that supports unnecessary cosmetic surgery on their puppies like ear cropping, tail docking and dewclaw removal. Better yet, contact the breed clubs and CKC and make your position known.
NewsCAN CH Breugel’s Rambling Rose

DOB: August 13th, 2016
Miss Rosie was my only female from my Dolly x Gus litter of 2016. Thank goodness she made the cut and went out on the road with Larry Clark for a few short months in 2018 to get her championship title in conformation. During her very short show career Miss Rosie racked up 6 Best of Breeds, 4 Group 3s, and a Group 2. Thank you Larry!

Mr. Gus aka Awesome Gus
DOB: February 11th, 2005 – August 27th, 2017
Gus was my foundation stud dog, imported from Holland. He started his show career in April 2006 and completed his championship in style, taking Best of Breed three out of four days and a Group 3 at the Fraser Valley Dog Fanciers Show in October 2006. Also, worth mentioning is Gus’s sister Geske who is the 2006 World Champion Bouvier. Mr. Gus has blessed us with many wonderful puppies with that world famous Vanenblikhoeve temperament. Gerard, I can’t thank you enough!
My Awesome Gus died in his sleep six days after Blaze. Having two of my loyal companions die so close together has truly ripped my heart out. There is not a day that goes by, that I’m not missing them both.

Mr. Blaze aka Snorten Norton
DOB: April 4th, 2008 – August 21st, 2017
April 4th, 2008 – August 21st, 2017
Blaze was pick male from Gus X Tazz 2008 Litter. Blaze finished his CKC Championship in just 2 shows. His claim to fame thus far was beating the Specials and taking Best of Breed at just 7 months of age. His second show he took Best of Breed again for two consecutive days at 9 months of age.
A special thanks to Shannon Sheer for expertly showing Blaze through to his CKC championship. This ones for you Pat!
Blaze in his retirement took over his mom’s job of protecting us all from our wonderful wildlife. Blaze would not let any of us out of his sight when we were out and about. It was quite amazing how he could come up with one location where he could watch us all at the same time. He was a remarkable dog and true to that stoic bouvier temperament that I love so much. Mr. Blaze taught my newest Dutch import the ropes on how to protect us prior to his death. I am forever thankful.
Mr. Blaze’s sudden death hit me like a ton of bricks. He had a fantastic annual check-up in April and died of heart failure just five months later. He did not show any signs of being ill until the last few days. At the time, it just didn’t make any sense. But now, I do wonder if his grain free diet for all those years was the contributing factor?

Daisy’s Pedigree RetiredFinally!!!! – BC Vets Ban Tail Docking
Members of B.C.'s College of Veterinarians have voted to ban cosmetic tail docking of dogs, horses and cattle. The college says the more than 91 per cent of members who took part in a recent vote cast ballots against tail docking.
Such wonderful news for our breed. Now we just have to wait until the breed clubs get on board and change the standard for our breed. Starting today all puppies reared by myself will be adopted out OH NATURAL! Hence, if you are looking for a cropped, docked or cropped and docked puppy? You need NOT apply.
Personally, I have been waiting for almost 15 years for this WIN. Patience is a virtue!
NewsBreugel’s Tazz Take it Away
Mrs Tazz aka my shadow
DOB: December 23rd, 2015
Mrs Tazz is out of my Bella x Wally litter of 2015. She lived her first three years in Ontario. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to bring her back home and put her in my breeding program. Thank you Dave and Shelley for all your help. Tazzy loves people, animals especially my daughter’s horse and our crazy chickens. Tazz has decided that I need a body guard as she sticks to me like glue. It’s great until she decides she should accompany me in the shower. She is a very unique Bouvier in that she loves using her voice to tell us how disappointed she is when things don’t go her way. Or when she wants to go for a car ride. She is a very special lady. She may look fat in her photo but that is because she is less then a week away from have 8+ puppies.

Mr. Turbo
July 2nd, 2002 – December 23rd, 2015
Turbo was bred by Joanne Wollman of Angelbrin kennels in Rockyview, Alberta. Joanne and I co-owned Turbo when he came to live with us when he was seven. Which is where he stayed until he was called home just before Christmas at the ripe old age of 13.5!
Turbo loved to go for car rides and would spend the rest of the day, spread-out in the back seat of the car, you couldn’t get him out once he was in! Well, not until you enticed him with food, his first love! I swear he could bounce 4 feet in the air, when his food dish came out. Mr. Turbo you blessed us with some very wonderful puppies and you are sadly missed.
Turbo’s Pedigree RIPSweet victory! No more ear cropping in BC
On October 28th, 2015, the College of Veterinarians of BC voted to ban the cosmetic procedure of ear cropping.
Did you know it’s illegal in Europe to do cosmetic surgery on dogs? Here at Breugel our dogs and puppies come first and as such we will not crop ears nor dock tails. Nor will we sell a puppy to anyone wanting to do so.
Please join our plight and say NO to ear cropping.
Do it for the dogs sake!
NewsPalay Sweet Dreams – RIP
Miss Tawny and Tawn Tawn
August 7th, 2002 – September 8th, 2015
Tawny was my very first Bouvier. She was very witty and a little bit of a manipulator. She should have been a retriever as her favourite pastimes were swimming and fetching whatever you would throw for her. I am quite sure she would have swum the Strait of Georgia had I let her. On her first ferry ride, she almost jumped over the railing to go swimming. Luckily I caught her by her collar in mid-air. She was my alpha female that is until Tazz came into our lives. Tazz was Patricia Groome’s (Palay) alpha female. Needless to say, you can only have one alpha in your home and since I promised Pat on her deathbed that I would look after Tazz, Tawny was rehomed and lived the life of Riley with Rob, Pauline & family in Calgary until her trip to the rainbow bridge just shortly after her 13th birthday.
